Painting in Provence, France Workshop

Isle sur la SorgueThe beauty of Provence is needless to mention. Every art lover knows that great masters such as Cezanne and Van Gogh have discovered it far before us, and transmitted their love to us.

To me it was love at first sight! I was lucky enough to discover this wonderful maison d'hotes (guesthouse) just off the town of Isle sur la Sorgue. Although in the middle of the winter, I immediately perceived the magic of the place and asked the owners to host my groups.

The perfect venue. In its garden we paint in absolute quietness. The surroundings of the Vaucluse and Luberon area, are as vary and inspirational as can be. Hilltop villages such as Gordes and  Roussillon are surrounded by vineyards, poppy fields and lavender rows (according to the seasons); Isle sur la Sorgue and Fontaine de Vaucluse are crossed by amazingly green waters, with their reflections. If you have been in Provence I bet you miss it. If you never have, you can't miss it!

Francesco, the week was very well planned out and I enjoyed the very interesting outcomes in our work. I so look forward to working with you in the future. Anji - Portland, USA
